There are many footfall counting systems installed in and around town centres up and down the UK so that Councils have footfall information specifically to evaluate the impact of investment. One such Council is Caerphilly which has been counting in six of the towns that come under the Councils jurisdiction for the past 5 years. The Council decided to go out to tender recently in order to secure best value for its tax payers and PFM were pleased to win through this tender process.
The existing systems were replaced and the data that had been collected over the last 5 years was integrated with the new PFM web based reporting system so that the client did not lose any data. The systems PFM installed were connected via 4G routers to minimise the infrastructure required to achieve a fully working system as well as enabling us to provide seamless remote support.
